1880s
Royal Winton founded in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the English pottery industry. The brand becomes one of the most collected names in English bone china.
1932
Blue Cottage Summertime (Pattern #775 / #1612) introduced — the most popular and widely produced Winton pattern until production ceased in the 1960s.
1934
Welbeck (Pattern #2204) introduced. The pattern was much copied by the Japanese.
1936
Royalty (Pattern #3079) introduced at the 1936 British Industries Fair — very popular with chintz collectors worldwide. Same year, Majestic (Pattern #3311) launched with a black-background variant; the yellow is the alternate colourway.
1938
Richmond (Pattern #4249) registered in Canada.
1939
Julia (Pattern #109) appears — described in the 2018 snapshot as "overall, the favourite pattern for chintz collectors around the world." Continues well into the 1950s.
1950s
Florence (Pattern #472) — one of the last chintz patterns, registered in Canada; rare and sought-after worldwide.
1953
Stratford (Pattern #493) registered in Canada. One of the last Royal Winton chintz patterns; popular in the USA.
2018 snapshot
The last archived snapshot of royalwinton.co.uk records the company trading as "Royal Winton C/O Duchess China LTD, Uttoxeter Road, Longton, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire, England ST3 1PB". The catalog continues as a collector reference.
